Cosy Restaurant in a Smuggling Hotspot.
The Ship Inn is a cosy restaurant located in Port Eynon, Gower, South Wales. With Port Eynon being a top tourist attraction and boasting beautiful coastal views, this restaurant caters to visitors from far and wide with a nautical themed decor.
The Brief
The Ship Inn wanted an online space that advertised their restaurant. They wanted an online sample menu, along with additional information customers may need prior to visiting.
They especially wanted the new site to reflect their friendly and down to earth nature.
The Development
A site that followed the nautical theme of the in-house décor was decided. This would allow for brand consistency.
The colours, typography, images and layout style were all chosen with this in mind. We wanted to create a down to earth and easy to use website solution. Furthermore, adding a blog page would allow for further marketing and up to date content.
We then drew up some concepts based on these ideas, and sent them for approval before taking any next steps.
The Result
As a result, the new site has historical information, a menu, blog and contact information. It is a simple yet elegant site with modern features.
It is a modern and clean online information point that effectively portrays The Ship Inn’s brand.
